Rising health care costs cause headaches, desperation





The Enterprise BROCKTON — Keith Lapides of Easton has two words to describe the rising cost of health insurance: It stinks. Lapides, 51, is self-employed and has to pay the full price of the insurance himself — a cost he says has doubled in the past decade. The current cost to insure his family of four: $1,400 per month. This is a video which I have just taken today when I send my mother for her eye checkup at our University Hospital in PJ. My mother always get the best treatment and FREE because of her status as a Pensioner.My mother used to be the Principal Matron for Malaysia where she helped to managed all the government hospitals especially the management of the Malaysian Nurses. Interestingly,she worked about 28 years and already retired for 31 years! She gets her monthly pension plus my late father's pension together. ...
